Current Opportunities

NEEDED NOW: ASSIST CLIENTS IN OUR TRENTON STORE
Openings available: Thursday 9-12; Friday 9-1.
Store volunteers help check clients into our Trenton Store (open 8:30am - 12 noon weekdays and one Saturday per month), help organize the store when food is delivered, and help clients pick out food according to our nutrition point system. Volunteers normally come one morning per week, and receive comprehensive training.

NEEDED NOW: WORK WITH CLIENTS IN OUR FINANCIAL PROGRAM
Openings available: Monday 9-12; Tuesday 9-12; Thursday 9-12.
Looking for a meaningful, regular commitment? Are you available during typical office hours? This could be for you. Client Assistants talk with our clients about their particular situations, gather and enter information into our database, and call other organizations on their behalf. They also answer phone calls from those seeking help. Training provided.

A recent refresher for our store volunteersWe offer volunteer training and refreshers on a regular basis
We always look for ways to improve our service to clients, and believe it is important to revisit our guidelines in response to volunteer and client feedback. So we hold regular luncheon sessions at which staff introduce and discuss new guidelines. The session pictured above was hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Trenton.

ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEERSMartha, a Wednesday office volunteer, tallies McCaffrey's receipts: Though we do not currently have office openings, do check back from time to time.
Office volunteers help process client records and donor mailings, assist in event planning, and more. We offer flexible hours and provide training in data entry and other administrative tasks in our Trenton office. Pictured at right, an office volunteer tallies receipts from McCaffrey's Supermarkets, which generously donates 1% to the Crisis Ministry. In just three months, those receipts resulted in a $1,700 donation from McCaffreys!

For more information on volunteering at Crisis Ministry contact Volunteer Coordinator Alicia Morrison at (609) 396-9355 x12 or by e-mail.
